After more than 15 years delivery high end mobile event catering across outback NSW, including 5 years running a cafe by the same name in the small town of Nyngan, NSW, The Cocky’s Wife has returned to her roots delivering true farm to table catering.

Set on a working sheep station spread over 28,500 acres, The Cocky’s Wife at Callubri Station offers an exclusive-use, private outback station stay with curated luxury accommodation for groups of up to 10 guests and a beautiful venue, The Shearer’s Quarters, hosting up to 100 guests sit down or 150 guests cocktail style for events and weddings. With a genuine first name service and small owner-led staff team, you will leave our property feeling renewed, restored and part of our extended family.

Nestled between the remote country towns of Nyngan and Tottenham in Central West NSW, Callubri Station is steeped in 145 years of family farming history. Purchased in 1878, the property has a long association with Merino Wool and Lamb production. The station runs a self replacing Merino flock supporting an average of 10,000 Merino sheep.

Our Wool

Callubri Station is proud to be an RWS certified farm and is committed to raising the benchmark for sheep health, wellbeing and land management. For the integrity of the Armstrong’s business, it is important to be part of an accreditation system that focusses on the bigger picture. The RWS system looks at the entire wool processing production journey, from farm level right through to the final business to business transaction.

RWS certification ensures transparency through end-to-end supply chain tracking, bolstered by internal and third-party verification. This certification assures brands and consumers that the wool they purchase originates from a farm committed to high sheep wellbeing and sustainable land management. Our Land

Callubri Station, situated in Central West NSW, falls within a marginal cropping region with an average annual rainfall of 450mm. The property regularly faces the unpredictability of weather and global markets, making for a gambler’s game! With approximately 4000 acres dedicated to Wheat, Canola, Oats, Barley and Lupins, the station employs minimum to zero till techniques for moisture retention and ground cover preservation

Angie and Michael Armstrong share a passion for the agritourism. Raised on a small family farm in the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley, Angie spent her childhood surrounded by Melbourne’s melting pot of culture and cuisine. As a fourth-generation custodian of Callubri Station, Michael’s dedication to the land and love of farming is clear. Together, they are passionate about working towards a greater shared understanding between urban and rural communities and a continued drive towards holistic and sustainable sheep farm management.

Giving respect to the people of the Wongaibon Nation, Callubri Station acknowledges the land’s traditional owners alongside its pioneering past.
